Submitted by By Fabian Baez on February 01, 2008

Music is more visual now than ever and music videos play a huge role in marketing an artist’s work and image. Marlon Peña is an important part of the reggaeton movement. He has directed various music videos for many reggaeton superstars. Alexis & Fido’s “Eso Ehh,” “Me Quiere Besar,” “Soy Igual Que Tu,” Zion’s “Alocate,” Ivy Queen’s “Que Lloren,” and Voltio’s “El Mellao” are just some of his projects. You already know, Reggaetonline.net caught up with Marlon in NYC recently and got some of his thoughts.

Introducing ‘Mr. New York City’ Nick Diddy aka Talentino

Submitted by By Fabian Baez January 24, 2008

In the Big Apple there is a rising star who has built a reputation of entertaining crowds with his infectious energy. Reggaetonline.net brings to you one of the most charismatic, talented and loved young men in New York City.

Nicolas Talentino was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx and Washington Heights. He got his start at an early age organizing high school parties. He went to school with members of Aventura at South Bronx High School. Toby Love and Nick performed in the same talent shows, too. “We had all the other high school crews shut down when it came to parties. We would make fliers out of regular paper,” Nick stated confidently. They started parties in neighborhood basements and formed Sucio Entertainment. He was always a leader and an organizer. When he went away to college at Old Westbury he began Gridlock Productionz. He learned many things from different people regarding moving a crowd and organizing events. “I began doing parties in college and they were always the hottest. Then on the weekends I’d come back home and throw parties in the city. I learned from ‘L Boogs’ (MTV 3) how to be a hype man and host. As I learned in college I was teaching my crew back here in the Bronx,” he recalls.

I decided to make the switch to being an artist. I named myself Talentino because I’m multi-talented. I love music and I feel I have the talent to display my skills not only locally, but worldwide. I have been back to the Dominican Republic to promote my music and the response has been excellent. I can rap in English and Spanish; write songs for males and females. I am releasing my album in March called “The Talent Show.” In addition, I have my own internet radio show of the same name on www.urbanlatino.com; it airs every Thursday and Saturday from 9-11pm. I talk about the music industry, interview artists and I feature some of the hottest DJs in New York City spinning music. You can get in contact with me and check out my music at www.myspace.com/talentino & www.myspace.com/datalentshow.
